Lowell has dedicated nearly two decades to non-profit organizations in Fernley. His extensive service includes board memberships with the Fernley Junior Rodeo Association, Fernley Builders Association, Fernley Chamber of Commerce, and Main Street Fernley. He has also held the position of President for the Fernley Builders Association, Main Street Fernley, and the Fernley Chamber of Commerce.

During his presidency at the Fernley Chamber of Commerce, Lowell was instrumental in initiating the Main Street program at the request of the City of Fernley. After attending Main Street NOW in 2022, he has been a driving force behind the Main Street Fernley program since its inception in 2023. Lowell played a key role in establishing the organization and populating its Board and Committee with dedicated local members. He continues to serve as the President of Main Street Fernley.

  Shannon Ceresola is a fifth-generation Nevadan with deep historical roots in the Fernley area. A proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Shannon has dedicated her professional life to the fields of environmental permitting and construction management. As the majority owner of Ceresola Inspection Services and CP Construction Group, she strives to enhance the synergy between land development, construction operations, and responsible environmental resource management.

Passionate about the positive economic growth of Fernley, Shannon and her family actively invest in the local community through various small businesses. In 2003, they opened The Electric Sun tanning salon, which expanded into a full-service day spa and boutique by 2007. In 2016, they launched The Nest, a charming gift, homeware, and furniture store that has become a staple in the community.

Shannon’s commitment to Fernley extends beyond her businesses. In 2023, she was appointed to the Lyon County Planning Commission, where she contributes her expertise to local development initiatives. Additionally, she serves as Vice-President of the Fernley Chamber of Commerce, advocating for local enterprises and fostering a vibrant community spirit.

Through her professional endeavors and community involvement, Shannon Ceresola continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of Fernley, ensuring it thrives while preserving its hometown feel.

 Ashley has been a dedicated member of the Fernley Main Street Incorporation’s Board of Directors since 2023. 

With a robust background in the real estate and lending community, she brings over a decade of experience and expertise to her role.

Ashley is deeply committed to her community. Her involvement with the Fernley Main Street Incorporation highlights her passion for local development and community engagement. She has been instrumental in driving initiatives that foster growth, enhance local businesses, and improve the quality of life for residents. Her visionary approach has made her a key player in the community’s success.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ashley actively participates in various community events and projects, always striving to make a positive impact. Her dedication to the Main Street Community is unwavering, and she continuously seeks innovative ways to contribute to its prosperity and vibrancy.

Jessica “Jess” Murdock is a familiar face around Fernley through her work with the City of Fernley, where she serves as the Community Development Program Manager. Her work centers around something she is passionate about bringing people together and finding ways to strengthen the community she now calls home.  Originally from California, Jess moved to Nevada a few years ago for her husband’s career. At the time, she had no idea how much Fernley would become part of her own story. One of the things Jess enjoys most about her position is the opportunity to wear many different hats. Her work has allowed her to build relationships with local businesses, residents, nonprofits, schools, community organizations, volunteers, and regional partners while helping bring community projects, programs, and events to life. Since 2023, Jess has served as the primary organizer of the City’s annual Spooktacular and introduced the Fernley Business Expo, creating an opportunity for local businesses to access resources, build their networks, and strengthen community connections. She has also played an active role in improvements to the Main Street Art Park, including bringing new art installations to the park and helping add a walking path, planter boxes, and benches. You can also regularly find her at Fernley Chamber of Commerce breakfasts, luncheons, and other community events. In 2026, Jess was recognized by Influential Women for her work in community development, reflecting a belief that guides much of what she does: “Community has always been at the heart of everything I do.” Jess has built a diverse educational background that complements her work in public service and community development. In December 2026, she will complete her bachelor’s degree in communication through Southern New Hampshire University, marking her third college degree. Her education spans human development, criminology and justice studies, and communication; three areas that have helped shape the way she connects with people, approaches challenges, and serves her community. Outside of work, Jess is a wife and proud mom. She and her husband, Michael, are raising their daughter alongside their two dogs, Loki and Sadie Marie. For Jess, Fernley has become much more than the place she moved to, it has become home, and she is proud to play a small part in helping the community continue to grow and thrive.

Robert Stolting serves as Chair of the Fernley History Committee of Main Street Fernley and is actively involved in establishing the Fernley and West Lahontan Valley Historical Society (FWLVHS). Through this effort, Robert and the History Committee are working to create a modern, digital-first historical society dedicated to preserving the region’s history, documenting its stories, and making that heritage accessible to current and future generations.

Robert brings a systems-level perspective to the preservation and interpretation of Northern Nevada’s heritage. As a union-trained Controls Engineer and veteran of the Nevada Army National Guard, he combines technical expertise, practical problem-solving, and a strong appreciation for the people, infrastructure, and natural environment that have shaped the region.

His interests include the history of the Newlands Project, regional infrastructure and industrial development, local ecology, and the communities of the Lahontan Valley. Robert is particularly interested in connecting the physical landscape and infrastructure of the region with the stories of the people who built, worked in, and lived among them.

Through his work with the History Committee and the developing FWLVHS, Robert is committed to ensuring that Fernley’s history is not only preserved, but actively researched, shared, and made accessible for generations to come.

Michelle Barney is a second-generation REALTOR in Northern Nevada. She has been in the business for over 17 years specializing in residential sales, property management and broker management. She graduated from high school at White Pine County in Ely, NV. She attended college for Business Management in Madison, SD making her way back to Northern Nevada in 1997. She is family orientated with having all of her immediate family living within 30 miles from her so most activities are revolved around them. She is very involved with her community and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors, the Board of Directors for the Fernley Chamber of Commerce and the Promotion Chair for Fernley Main Street America. She is also a member of the Fernley Builder’s Association and has sponsored many great organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, Fern45 for Veterans, Fernley ACES and many of the local schools. Michelle is the owner and Broker of Nevada Prime Real Estate which she founded in 2020. She provides her clients and agents superior professional and personal services catering to their individual needs.
